Control Buttons
◆ Function: Control buttons on CNC lathes are used to connect and disconnect control circuits and control the operation of motors or other devices.
◆ Types: These include start buttons (green), stop buttons (red), jog buttons (black), and reset buttons (blue).
◆ Features: CNC lathe buttons are selected based on the application and number of contacts. Some buttons have built-in signal lights to visually display the device status.
Travel Switch
◆ Function: Converts mechanical displacement on CNC lathes into electrical signals to control mechanical travel or implement limit switches.
◆ Types: Straight rod, rotary, single-wheel rotary, double-wheel rotary, etc.
◆ Application: Commonly used in CNC machine tool worktable travel limit and tool change scenarios.
Proximity Switch
◆ Function: A non-contact detection device on CNC lathes that generates a switch signal by sensing the proximity of a metal object.
◆ Types: Inductive, capacitive, magnetic, photoelectric, Hall effect, etc. Advantages: Reliable operation, long life, low power consumption, fast response, and suitable for harsh environments.
◆ Applications: Part dimension inspection, speed measurement, automatic counting, and process integration.
Transfer Switch
◆ Function: Manual rotation operation for CNC lathes, used for axis selection, operating mode switching, and magnification adjustment.
◆ Types: Single-pole, bipolar, and multi-pole combination switches.
◆ Applications: Power supply introduction for control circuits, direct starting and stopping of small-capacity motors, etc.
Emergency Stop Switch
◆ Function: Cuts power to CNC lathes in emergencies, stopping equipment operation to ensure personal and equipment safety.
◆ Features: Red mushroom-shaped button cap with a protruding design for quick operation. Connects in series with the control circuit.
Contactor
◆ Function: CNC lathes frequently connect and disconnect the main circuit with loads, enabling remote and automatic control.
◆ Structure: CNC lathes consist of an electromagnetic mechanism (coil, moving iron core, stationary iron core) and a contact system (main contacts, auxiliary contacts).
◆ Application: CNC lathe controls motor start and stop, forward and reverse rotation, speed regulation, etc.
Relay
◆ Function: CNC lathes connect or disconnect control circuits based on input signal changes to achieve control objectives.
◆ Type:
Intermediate relay: Expands the number of contact pairs or increases contact capacity, with up to 8 pairs of contacts and a capacity of 5-10A.
Thermal relay: Utilizes the thermal effect of current to provide overload protection, preventing motor burnout.
Time relay: Delays the connection or disconnection of circuits, controlling the operating time.
◆ Applications: Signal amplification, logic control, protection circuits, etc.
Indicator lights
Electromagnet
Function: Converts CNC lathe electrical energy into mechanical energy, driving mechanical devices. Types: Traction electromagnets, brake electromagnets, valve electromagnets, etc.
Applications: Chuck clamping/unclamping, tailstock center forward/retracting, etc. on CNC lathes.
