Vertical lathes are large-scale machinery and equipment used to process large and heavy workpieces with large radial dimensions but relatively small axial dimensions and complex shapes. Such as the cylindrical surface, end surface, conical surface, cylindrical hole, conical hole of various discs, wheels and sleeves. It can also use additional devices for threading, spherical turning, profiling, milling and grinding.
The VTC80 CNC vertical lathe has two types of servo turrets: vertical and horizontal. It is equipped with a heavy-duty precision spindle as standard. The spindle drive adopts a two-stage gearbox to achieve high torque output. The spindle design with a larger span provides sufficient cutting rigidity.

Features of CNC vertical lathe
Thickened Base
The CNC vertical lathe features an integrated modular design with a widened base. The widened guideways on the columns and crossbars utilize THK/Taiwan Hiwin RGH heavy-duty linear guides. The extra-large span ensures sturdy and stable operation.
Advanced spindle unit
The spindle unit utilizes advanced design techniques. To increase cutting torque, the spindle diameter is enlarged compared to conventional joints. A set of bidirectional angular contact bearings is added. Oil-bath, air-cooled, internally circulating lubrication is employed, effectively improving lubrication, reducing friction, ensuring a stable temperature rise, and extending bearing life, making it more adaptable to high-speed, long-duration, and high-load operation. This eliminates the high costs associated with similar machine tool spindle grease lubrication, maintenance-free operation, short bearing life, and the need for replacement repairs.
Taiwan Lead Screw
The ball screw utilizes THK/Taiwan Yintai First Line brand, with triple-row NSK angular contact bearings on both the Z and X axis ends. Optimized rated preload ensures optimal operation of both axes under both no-load and loaded conditions. This reduces the impact of temperature rise on the screw and nut, extending the service life of the bearings, screw, and nut, and ensuring screw positioning accuracy.
