1. Point control

2. Linear control

In addition to controlling the accurate positioning of the start and end points of the linear path, it is also necessary to control the linear cutting between these two points at the specified feed rate. Milling machines, grinders and CNC vertical lathes are used for this type of control.

3. Continuous trajectory control

can continuously control the joint movement of two or more coordinate directions. In order to make the tool process the curve contour of the workpiece according to the prescribed path, the numerical control device has the function of interpolation operation. Make the motion path of the tool approach the specified contour curve with the smallest error, and coordinate the motion speed of each coordinate direction, so that the specified feed rate is always maintained during the cutting process. There are CNC milling machines, CNC grinders, CNC vertical lathes and machining centers that use this type of control.
