1.Environmental and Site Preparation
Environmental and Site Preparatio
●Floor Flatness: Before using a CNC vertical lathe, use a level to check the installation surface and ensure a level error of ≤0.05mm/m to prevent machine vibration or deformation.
●Space Layout: Provide ample operating space for the CNC machine (at least 1m around the machine) to ensure convenient chip removal, tool changing, and maintenance.
●Ambient Temperature and Humidity: Maintain a workshop temperature between 15-30°C and humidity ≤70% to prevent moisture and thermal deformation of electrical components.
●Dust Prevention: Install a dust cover or air filtration system on the CNC vertical lathe to reduce dust wear on the guide rails and lead screws.
Power Supply and Grounding
●Voltage Stability: A voltage stabilizer is required for CNC vertical lathes to ensure power supply voltage fluctuations of ≤±5% and a stable frequency (e.g., 50Hz±0.5Hz).
●Independent Power Supply: Provide independent power supplies for the CNC system and servo drive to avoid sharing power lines with other high-power devices.
●Reliable grounding: Ground resistance ≤ 4Ω to prevent electrical interference or electric shock risks.
2.Mechanical Inspection

Component Installation and Tightening
● Bed Leveling: For CNC vertical lathes, adjust the bed level using anchor bolts and shims. Verify with a laser interferometer or level.
● Spindle Box Securing: Check that the bolts connecting the CNC vertical lathe's headstock to the bed are tightened and free of looseness.
● Turret/Tailstock Installation: Verify that the CNC vertical lathe's turret tool changer, tailstock center, and spindle are coaxial within 0.02mm.
Drive System Inspection
● Screw and Guide Rails: Clean and grease the CNC vertical lathe's guide rails. Check that the preload force of the screw nut pair meets the requirements.
● Belt Tension: Adjust the belt tension of the CNC vertical lathe's spindle motor to prevent slippage and excessive wear.
● Coupling Play: Check that the play between the CNC vertical lathe's motor and the screw coupling is ≤ 0.05mm to prevent transmission errors.
Lubrication and Cooling System
● Lubricant Level: Check the oil level in the lubricant tank of the centralized CNC vertical lathe to ensure the oil lines are unobstructed and leak-free.
● Coolant Concentration: Prepare the CNC machine tool with coolant to the specified concentration (e.g., 5%-10%) and test the nozzle for uniform flow.
● Pipe Connections: Verify that the CNC machine tool's lubrication and cooling lines are free of twists or damage, and that joints are properly sealed.
3.CNC System Parameter Settings

Basic Parameter Configuration
● Machine Coordinate System: First, set the workpiece coordinate system origin (G54-G59) and the mechanical coordinate system zero point for the CNC machine.
● Axis Parameters: Enter the travel limits and pitch compensation value for each axis (e.g., 0.005mm/rev for the X axis).
● Spindle Parameters: Set the maximum spindle speed (e.g., 6000rpm) and orientation angle (e.g., 0°) for the CNC vertical lathe.
Functional Parameter Verification
● Tool Change Parameters: Test the CNC vertical lathe's turret forward/reverse rotation and positioning accuracy (e.g., ±0.01mm).
● Pitch Compensation: The CNC vertical lathe uses a laser interferometer to measure the positioning error of each axis, generate a compensation table, and import it into the system.
● Backlash compensation: Manually move each axis to its limit position, record the backlash value, and enter the parameter.

4.Safety Protection and Operation Training
Safety Device Inspection
● Guard Door Interlock: Verify that the CNC vertical lathe's guard door must be closed before the machine can start. If opened, the machine will stop immediately.
● Emergency Stop Button: Test that the response time of all emergency stop buttons on the CNC machine (e.g., on the operator panel and turret) is ≤0.1s.
● Limit Switch: Manually trigger the limit switches on each axis of the CNC vertical lathe to verify that the machine can stop immediately and generate an alarm.
Operator Training
● Basic Operations: Training on basic CNC vertical lathe operations, including power-on, zero return, manual movement, and program editing.
● Safety Regulations: Before using a CNC vertical lathe, emphasize safety requirements such as prohibiting operation with gloves and prohibiting workpiece adjustment during operation.
● Emergency Response: Demonstrate how the CNC vertical lathe handles emergencies such as overload and collision, and document the emergency procedures.
